FoxFarm Cultivation Nation Seventy Thirty Growing Media - 2 cu ft - 70% Coco Coir and 30% Perlite

Water Retention With Airy Drainage - 2 cu ft

Coco-based media can hold too much water or drain unevenly, which makes feeding hard to control. This blend pairs buffered coconut coir, known for holding water, with perlite, which opens air spaces for aeration and drainage. The result is a ready-to-use medium built around the classic 70:30 ratio.

The 2 cu ft unit suits hobbyists trying a coco-based mix and regular indoor growers filling several containers. Larger commercial runs will want to plan how many units they need.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is in this growing media?
A: It contains 70% coco coir and 30% perlite. The coir is buffered coconut coir.

Q: Why is perlite included?
A: Perlite creates air spaces in the media. Those spaces improve aeration and drainage around the roots.

Q: Can I use it outdoors?
A: Yes, it is intended for indoor and outdoor containers. Pair it with a feeding schedule you customize for your plants.

Q: What does buffered mean?
A: Buffered coir has been treated to prepare it for use as a growing medium. Check the manufacturer label for details of the treatment.

Q: How does coco-based media differ from soil-based media?
A: Coco-based media generally gives you more control over feeding because it carries fewer built-in nutrients. Growers usually supply nutrients on a schedule they set themselves.
