HydroLogic® HyperLogic® Standard Anti-Scalant - 45 lb Jug
HydroLogic® HyperLogic® Standard Anti-Scalant is a broad-spectrum, phosphorous-free anti-scalant concentrate formulated for use with HyperLogic® Commercial, Industrial, and Heavy-Industrial Series RO systems. It inhibits the formation of Calcium Carbonate scale on RO membranes, significantly extending membrane service life and reducing maintenance frequency. When used in conjunction with HyperLogic® Chemical Injector Systems, this anti-scalant provides a cost-effective alternative to water softeners — eliminating the system downtime, drain-to-waste, and regeneration process associated with traditional softener systems. Certified by NSF to NSF/ANSI Standard 60 for Drinking Water Treatment Chemicals. Must be diluted prior to use. Store in a temperature-controlled environment away from direct sunlight. Once opened, use within 1 year. Available in a 45-lb jug. Formerly HyperLogic HL 11903.
Key Features & Benefits
- Prevents Calcium Carbonate scale formation — Broad-spectrum anti-scalant chemistry inhibits the nucleation and growth of CaCO₃ scale on RO membrane surfaces, the primary cause of premature membrane fouling in hard-water systems.
- Phosphorous-free formulation — Avoids phosphorous discharge concerns associated with phosphonate-based anti-scalants — important for operations with environmental discharge compliance requirements.
- Cost-effective alternative to water softeners — Eliminates the downtime, drain-to-waste, and regeneration cycle associated with traditional water softeners while providing effective scale inhibition.
- NSF/ANSI Standard 60 certified — Certified for use as a Drinking Water Treatment Chemical, meeting NSF/ANSI Standard 60 safety and performance requirements.
- Works with HyperLogic® Chemical Injector Systems — Designed for precise metered injection via HyperLogic® Chemical Injector Systems for consistent, automated dosing.
- Extends membrane life — Regular anti-scalant use prevents scale accumulation that increases pressure drop, reduces permeate flow, and shortens membrane service life.
Who Should Use This
Essential for operators of HydroLogic® HyperLogic® Commercial, Industrial, and Heavy-Industrial RO systems in hard-water environments where Calcium Carbonate scale is a recurring challenge. Particularly well-suited for operations seeking to eliminate water softener systems in favor of chemical injection anti-scaling.
Compatibility
For use with HydroLogic® HyperLogic® Commercial, Industrial, and Heavy-Industrial Series RO systems with Chemical Injector Systems. Must be diluted before use — refer to HyperLogic® Owner's Manual for proper dilution and injection ratio. Store temperature-controlled, away from sunlight. Use within 1 year of opening. NSF/ANSI Std 60 certified. Available in 45 lb jug. Formerly HL 11903.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Does this product need to be diluted before use?
- Yes. This anti-scalant concentrate MUST be diluted prior to use. Refer to the HyperLogic® Owner's Manual for the correct dilution ratio and injection rate for your specific system.
- Is this product phosphorous-free?
- Yes. HydroLogic® HyperLogic® Standard Anti-Scalant is phosphorous-free, making it suitable for operations with environmental phosphorous discharge restrictions.
- Is this product NSF certified?
- Yes. This product is certified by NSF to NSF/ANSI Standard 60 for Drinking Water Treatment Chemicals.
- Why is anti-scalant better than a water softener?
- Water softeners require periodic regeneration cycles that take the system offline and waste water as drain-to-waste. Chemical injection anti-scalant provides continuous scale prevention without regeneration downtime, reducing operational interruptions and water waste.
- How should this product be stored?
- Store in a temperature-controlled environment away from direct sunlight. Once opened, use within 1 year. Clean the Chemical Injector tank monthly — empty, clean, and rebatch for best performance.
