Grow1 Inline KDF-85 Garden Water Filter - Chloramine, Chlorine & Heavy Metals Removal

Cleaner Feed Water From a Simple Inline Filter - 15 x 11 x 17 in

Treated tap water can carry chlorine and chloramines that you may not want in a cultivation setup. This inline filter uses KDF-85 media to help reduce chlorine, chloramines, hydrogen sulfide and certain water-soluble heavy metals as water flows through the hose. KDF media works through a redox process, an exchange of electrons with contaminants in the water.

Sold each, this single filter suits a hobby grower or small indoor room that needs one dependable point of treatment. A commercial operation can add it ahead of an existing system as a pre-filter.

Key Features & Benefits

• KDF-85 filtration media — uses a redox process to help reduce chlorine, chloramines and certain heavy metals.
• Inline design — fits into a water line so treatment happens as water flows to your plants.
• Standalone or pre-filter use — works by itself or ahead of an existing filtration system to help protect it.
• Flexible hose protector included — lets the hose bend at sharp angles while water keeps flowing.

Who Should Use Grow1 Inline KDF-85 Garden Water Filter

Growers who start with chlorinated or chloraminated municipal water and want to reduce those compounds before watering or mixing nutrient solutions will find it useful. It also suits anyone who wants to protect an existing filtration or purification system.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is KDF?
A: KDF stands for Kinetic Degradation Fluxion, a copper-zinc filtration media used in many water treatment applications. It reduces certain contaminants through a redox process.

Q: How does the redox process work?
A: Redox means oxidation and reduction, an exchange of electrons with contaminants in the water. Some contaminants bond to the media and others change into different compounds, such as chlorine becoming chloride.

Q: Can I use it with another filter?
A: Yes. You can run it independently or as a pre-filter to help protect an existing filtration or purification system.

Q: What does the hose protector do?
A: The included flexible hose protector lets the hose bend at sharp angles while water flow stays consistent. It helps you route the line in tight spaces.

Q: Does it remove everything from my water?
A: No. It is designed to help reduce specific contaminants such as chlorine, chloramines and certain water-soluble heavy metals. Test your water if you need to confirm results for your supply.
