PHOTOBIO X Power Harness — 16AWG Bare Wire Leads for Junction Box Wiring
PHOTOBIO X LED fixtures are engineered for commercial-scale cultivation — and the power delivery system needs to match. Hydrofarm offers a complete range of plug-and-play harnesses for PHOTOBIO X fixtures, each designed to bring power from a dedicated circuit to the fixture through an IP-rated connector at the fixture end. The bare wire version (CHE1063000W) is for installations where wiring runs directly to a junction box, eliminating the cost of a traditional plug and receptacle.
The 10 ft white UV-resistant cable gives plenty of routing flexibility in most canopy configurations. The IP connector at the fixture end provides dust and liquid resistance at the connection point, making disconnection and reconnection safe and simple without requiring an electrician at the fixture level. Bare wire leads are then wired to the junction box by a licensed electrician.
Key Features & Benefits
- 16AWG cable — heavy enough gauge to handle the current draw of PHOTOBIO X LED fixtures at operating voltage.
- Bare wire leads — bare wire ends wire directly into a junction box — no plug or receptacle needed, reducing material and contractor labor costs.
- IP connector at fixture — dust- and liquid-resistant IP connector provides safe plug-and-play power connection and disconnection at the fixture level.
- 10 ft white UV-resistant cable — 10 ft length provides routing flexibility; white color maximizes light reflectivity in the canopy.
- PHOTOBIO X compatible — designed for use with PHOTOBIO CX, MX, T, and TX LED fixtures.
Who Should Use This Harness
Commercial growers and electrical contractors installing PHOTOBIO X LED fixtures in facilities with dedicated circuit wiring to junction boxes — where eliminating plug-and-receptacle hardware reduces material and labor costs.
Why Plug-and-Play Harnesses Reduce Installation Cost
Traditional hardwired fixture installations require a licensed electrician to make every fixture connection. With a plug-and-play harness, the electrician wires the junction box end once; after that, the IP connector at the fixture can be connected and disconnected by any trained staff member without opening the electrical system. This reduces the need for electrician callouts for routine fixture moves, replacements, or adjustments.
Frequently Asked Questions
- What fixtures is this harness compatible with?
- The CHE1063000W is designed for use with PHOTOBIO CX, MX, T, and TX LED fixtures from Hydrofarm.
- What does the bare wire end connect to?
- The bare wire leads are wired directly into a junction box by a licensed electrician. This eliminates the cost of a traditional plug and receptacle at the power source end.
- What voltage does this harness support?
- The bare wire version (CHE1063000W) is voltage-flexible — the specific voltage is determined by the circuit it is wired into. Choose a plug version (CHE1063010W for 110-120V or CHE1063015W for 208-240V) if you prefer a plug-in connection.
- What does the IP connector protect against?
- The IP connector at the fixture end is rated for dust and liquid resistance, protecting the power connection point in humid grow room environments.
- Why is the cable white?
- The white UV-resistant cable maximizes light reflectivity in the canopy, reducing the shadow cast by the cable and contributing to more uniform light distribution.
