Charco Filters Plus Activated Carbon Filter - 14 x 49-in - 14-in Flange Pre-Installed

Virgin Carbon Odor Control for Ducted Grow Rooms - 14 x 49-in

Odor escaping from a cultivation space causes problems for neighbors, shared buildings and your own comfort. This filter pulls exhaust air through a bed of virgin, coal-based activated carbon, which traps odor-causing compounds before the air leaves your space. The flange arrives pre-installed, so you can connect ducting without sourcing an adapter.

This is the long 49-in format for growers running a powerful inline fan and a larger indoor or commercial room. A tall carbon bed gives the air more contact time with the carbon. Smaller hobby setups may prefer a shorter filter.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How does an activated carbon filter control odor?
A: Activated carbon has a very porous structure that adsorbs odor molecules as air passes through it. The cleaned air then exits the filter. Place it on the exhaust side of your fan.

Q: Does it include a flange?
A: Yes. A 14-in flange comes pre-installed. You can attach 14-in ducting directly.

Q: How long does the carbon last?
A: The distributor lists an average lifespan of 1.5 years. Actual life depends on air humidity, temperature and how much odor load the filter handles.

Q: Can it handle hot exhaust air?
A: It is designed to operate at temperatures up to 180 °F. That covers typical exhaust from grow lights and equipment.

Q: What does virgin carbon mean?
A: Virgin carbon is newly produced activated carbon, not reactivated or recycled material. This filter uses virgin coal-based carbon.

Q: Is a pre-filter included?
A: Yes, the product listing says a pre-filter is included. It catches larger particles before they reach the carbon bed.
