Complete Handheld Nutrient Testing in One Box, pH + EC
New growers often buy a pH meter, then discover they also need EC readings, calibration solutions and cleaning supplies. This starter pack puts everything in one box: the Bluelab pH Pen, the Bluelab Conductivity Pen and the care products that keep both accurate. The Conductivity Pen is ready to use, and the pH Pen calibrates quickly with the included sachets.
It fits hobby growers setting up a first hydroponic or soil system, and teams equipping new staff with a matched set of meters. Everything needed for the first round of cleaning and calibration is included.
Key Features & Benefits
- Two pens, two parameters — the pH Pen reads pH and temperature; the Conductivity Pen reads EC, CF, ppm 500 and ppm 700.
- Care kit included — pH and conductivity probe cleaners (30 ml each), toothbrush and chamois.
- Calibration sachets — 2x each of pH 7.0, pH 4.0, KCl storage and 2.77 EC standard single-use sachets.
- Automatic temperature compensation — both pens compensate readings for solution temperature.
Who Should Use the Starter Pack
Growers starting out who want a complete, matched measurement kit, and anyone replacing a mixed set of meters with one consistent system. It covers daily solution checks for home and small commercial setups.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is included in the Starter Pack?
- You get a Bluelab pH Pen, a Bluelab Conductivity Pen, a toothbrush, a chamois, a pH probe cleaner and a conductivity probe cleaner. It also includes 2x each of pH 7.0, pH 4.0, KCl storage and 2.77 EC standard sachets.
- Why do I need both pH and EC readings?
- EC tells you how much nutrient is in the solution; pH tells you whether plants can absorb it. A solution can have the right nutrient strength but the wrong pH, or the reverse. Measuring both lets you correct whichever is off.
- Do I need to calibrate both pens?
- The pH Pen needs 2-point calibration with pH 7.0 and pH 4.0 (or pH 10.0). The Conductivity Pen is factory calibrated, so calibration is optional. The included 2.77 EC sachets let you check it.
- How should I clean the probes?
- Use the pH probe cleaner and toothbrush on the pH sensor, and the conductivity probe cleaner and chamois on the EC sensor. Clean probes respond faster and drift less. Store the pH Pen with KCl storage solution afterward.
