How is this different from the standard Combo Meter?

The standard Combo Meter ships with the Bluelab pH Probe for solution. This kit swaps in the Leap pH Probe, which has a reinforced spear tip for direct measurement in soil and substrate, and adds a dibber. Both measure pH, EC and temperature.

Does the conductivity probe need calibration?

No. The conductivity probe is factory calibrated and ready to use. Only the pH probe needs 2-point calibration with pH 7.0 and pH 4.0 (or pH 10.0) solutions.

What are the measurement ranges?

pH reads 0.0–14.0, EC 0.0–9.9, CF 0–99, ppm 500 0–4950 and ppm 700 0–6930. Temperature reads 0–50°C / 32–122°F.

What does automatic temperature compensation do?

Conductivity and pH readings change with solution temperature. ATC corrects readings to a standard reference temperature, so a warm and a cool sample of the same solution read the same.
